Been meaning to post that up myself. Got one last month. Makes life so much easier on French Motorways.
Never had the nerve though to drive through at 30kph, hoping the barrier would just raise up before I hit it.

Part of the cost is a deposit, but keeping mine for next year.

Appart from the inconvenience of leaning over or getting out... (not a problem if you have a passenger) its a shame you don't get a discounted rate for using it....

We have been using one for the last week and a half
There is 20E deposit, a set up fee of 12E IIRC and two months of 6E subscriptions in a year.
You have NO hope of driving through at the stated 30kmh!
It is quicker and A LOT more convenient but you nearly always have to stop for a few seconds.
The other thing they don't tell you is the rates on the web site are PLUS tax

I have done many miles on these and have one for each car now, the time and effort saved is well worth paying for it; as is the ease of getting one bill the next month to be direct debited rather than fiddling with cash/cards at every stop. The only sad news is that my next bill is £420.

They actually have a system in place for referrals that gives both the referrer and the referee a bonus for new sign-ups. This one gives €5 back each: https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/subscription?ref=RF...

Even the Mersey Tunnels give you a 'Fastag' discount, though they do insist on a minimum monthly DD per vehicle, with you having to reclaim any surplus.

They're still robbing bds. I got lost and ended up going through, asked if I could turn round, which they let me. Then charged me for going both ways. wkers.

I explained how I went the wrong way, he said fine, come through and turn round (then let me through for free), I turned round and he made me pay for both ways when he met me on the other side of the road. Hardly fair

Hey you got off light..... I got done for overtaking and crossing the double white lines on my open piped GSXR1100... Bloody good job they never got a speed reading, but the tunnel copper reconned he heard me coming through from the entrance....

And it's not my fault Liverpool is impossible to navigate! I was only trying to find the passport place, ended up in a maze of one ways. Was driving round for nearly an hour

I've got to be careful now, I've had all my cars marked for 'excessive speeding' from Saturday night. Policeman (who definitely had short man syndrome) was a right prick, trying to get me to admit to speeding when he had no evidence. Then said how he could go to court and get me prosecuted... didn't believe me when I said I'm sure you need 2 police officer's word to get a conviction... Then threatened to get my car impounded. wker, I wasn't even speeding, I just accelerated a little hard is all (btw if you get pulled for this don't say 'there's no law on how fast you can accelerate'. It doesn't go down well).

The biggest obstacle in Liverpool for the higher end cars is the state of the roads. I was told they have a 7 figure sum set aside for future claims

I'm sorry to say this George..but you do seem to attract the wrong sort of attention, and it can't "always" be because the other fella is wrong or a prick...Maybe it's YOU that needs to calm down a bit..

I think you'll find that a policemans word, in court will carry a lot more weight than some young chap who already has an S59 on his tab... If a policeman says that in his opinion you were driving in excess of the speed limit, that's all it needs to get you done..... He doesn't have to give a specific speed, EXCESS is good enough

Might I suggest you spend less time posing and thrashing your cars around town with all the other Young dudes, and go on a proper drive in the countryside

I do drive a bit fast and am a bit aggressively.. I can't seem to calm down though... did the IAM thing for cheaper insurance, but soon found myself getting back into old habits and speeding all the time.

You do know I live in the middle of the countryside don't you? I wasn't in town posing, I was dropping someone off as I wasn't drinking that night (had my bike test on Sunday morning, passed ). I never drive in town at night. My car is left either at home or outside my local pub

I'd recommend one of these to anyone reading. My parents have one each for their cars, and I borrowed one for my trip down there this year. Made things so easy with a girlfriend who was feeling rough. Cheap too!
