I'm not thick, it's a piece of plastic, i know.

Found it outside our house lying on the grass by the road, it has obviously fell off a car which had been going past. What actually is it? Genuine question.

Looks like we have the answer then chaps! Seriously, i don't know a thing about bikes and it never even occurred to me that it could've been off one; so my apologises if this was a bit of a dumb question.
