Changing Engine Management Chip

I am presently driving a 2008 TDV8 Range Rover and I am considering changing the Engine Management Chip to increase the BHP + Fuel consumption, has anybody got any info ie + or -

There is no chip.

The systems on the TDV8 are infinitely more sophisticated than a simple EPROM swap.
