Hi Jason

Is your broken aerial an automatic aerial or a manual switched one?

Not that, that will matter as any good electric aerial will do auto or manual to match your fittment!

You need to buy what's called a fully automatic ariel as only this type works with the radio switch. It has a wire for a sensor where as a semi auto ariels don't. Make sure you buy a good make as cheap one's don't last long. Make sure the head section is the correct size to match your existing ariel. Good luck.

I would try the breakers first and get one off a 350/400

Hi

Fully Automatic aeriels are readly available from any good motor factor, and even from Half-fords the usual come with a universal fitting kit, so you should not have any problems fitting them to your car!

But unless you can find one with '80 style wiring, you may want to read this thread for converting the wiring for a modern antenna. Grady
