Out of all of the printing companies (Kodak/Spielmann etc) which do people think does the best quality image reproductions?

Need to get about 500 holiday photos printed (7x5).

Photobox a great!

Live in Tuscany and received today TWO orders I made with them 3 days after making the order!

They also sent me an offer through email yesterday for a 101cm x 76cm (cant remember properly) poster print which normally costs £24.99 and the offer is for £4.99 so I may be taking that offer up!

Otherwise another excellent company is Metro Print

Best quality would be someone like Loxley/One vision imaging, however, they will cost quite a bit. Of the cheaper services I've found Photobox to have great service, but poor quality and DSCL to have good service and good quality.

+1 regarding the Photobox poor quality, in a recent order for competition prints of 6 submitted only three were acceptable the others were soft or areas were soft. The images on screen were perfectly sharp, by the time I received them it was too late to hav them re-printed.

It's not the first time I've had problem with their quality, the last time was with canvas prints.

I will be trying Peak Imaging in future

Of the 'consumer' level printers I'd say Photobox are among the best (certainly well ahead of most high street and supermarket printers). I've had a few issues with Photobox but they've always quickly put things right.

For client work I use Loxley or Pro Am Imaging and the quality is miles ahead of Photobox, but the prices are a lot higher too. I would have to say I hate the Loxley Roes ordering system and preparing images for Pro Am is a bit of a faff too.

Just tried to find the price of a 7x5 print per unit but it wants me to register, can anyone tell me how much it roughly is? Pointless me registering if it's way out of budget....

Hi Matt

7x5 is £0.20p per print
5+ prints = £0.19p per print
20+ prints = £0.17p per print

Obviously then paying on top VAT and delivery.
