just wanted to say whilst looking through the post about "how many miles has your Tuscan done"
to see how many cars that have NOT had a re build and are still going very well on the original engine!
all this noise about, they all need re builds is a bit OTT. Treat them well and im sure they will be good to you in return.
anyway enough of that.. im off for a drive...

Well I was informed a year ago that mine has valve guide wear and would require a rebuild at some stage. I've since done 11000miles and it's still running sweet as, little oil use and I've not been sparing the rpm! Always sympathetic until warm, but once upto temp, it gets driven very enthusiastically!
Let's see if I can get another 11k from her!

Not always the case though! Mine was exceptionally well cared for but has just been rebuilt to 4.3 spec (orig a 3.6 2004 build on my T350). The cause, failure of the half time bearing causing the chain to collapse and the rest of what was a perfectly good engine to be lunched. anyway enough of that.. im off for a drive...
That said it is rare for that to happen and I guess I was just unlucky!
Ouchh.. And yes unfortunately very unlucky. Though you now have the 4.3 lump which is very nice.
