Due to take delivery of a white with black wheels 7.1 GT3 shortly, cant make my mind up whether to go with Porsche script black GT3 graphics on the sides.

Whats the general consensus on Porsche script graphics, naff or nice?

a 996 for reference only but you get the idea..

Naff, but the silver wheels look nicer than black wink

White car, viper decals and wheels, and possibly mirrors.
The red one looks naff.
A more striking wheel colour, maybe RAL Orange, with matching script.

GT3 - wrong
GT3 RS - right

I don't think it's just because of the OEM look - it's that the "GT3 RS" fills the space nicely, whereas "GT3" just looks a bit lost.

White with black wheels my personal favourite colour combo for a 7.1 GT3 - no graphics required!

The 'cooking' GT3 looks lovely and clean as it is, especially in cobalt blue.

Decals only if they come from the factory for me..

I quite like the look of the decals

Mine are in matt black so they are not in your face.

I was deeply unconvinced by the recently applied decals on my 968 Sport when I first bought it but they grew on my quickly and having seen a standard same colour non-decalled car it just looked so dull in comparison.

I think the 996 GT3RS looked good because the decals were good anyway and they matched the wheels, but 997 GT3 RSs with their decals stuck all over the place don't look good.

A normal GT3 looks best when it's as unfussy as possible, they just don't need decals, they're fine the way they are.

Not for me on a modern Porsche - fine for the 70s and early 80s.

I'm hoping my next car will be a Cayman R - I will be removing the decals.

Regarding the red 996 GT3 Mk2 on the top of this post... I really think that the decals work quite well. confused

Maybe the little black extensions on to the front and rear PU`s might enhance the look, but many fitters get these wholly wrong and they all look totally out of line.

Just my 2p worth.

Silver graphics on a white car look great - sorely tempted to put some on my Cayman.

ETA: Like this, but not sure it'd work with black rims (which I'm afraid aren't for me)

mmmmm.........interesting, I'm actually thinking of removing them from my car? would it then become too 'orangey'?

Naff.

Cars like these don't need them.
There are a few exceptions (as has been said RS's can carry them off sometimes).

It's not like the car is going to look worse without them, but will very possibly look worse with them.
