Just watched this video on Yahoo News about the new Ferrari F12 Belrinetta in beautiful classic Fezza Red. It is absolutely stunning! To me it has a classic look to it as well. And my favorite car journalist Ezra Dwyer reported on it. I love reading his columns, and never got to see him on video until now, he is just as funny as he is in his columns. Good man all around, and of course it goes without saying he is also one of the luckiest SOB's!

Give this article a skim through, but better yet feast your senses upon the video of the Feeza fish tailing and taking off like a rocket.

You know, despite the world economuy being in the dumps, these are still exciting times for supercars.

I would be very hardpressed to choose between the F12 Berlinetta, McLaren MP412C (sp?), the new Porsche 918 and an Aventador. Fortunately for me (or rather ufnortunately) I will never have to make such a decision. However, if I ever find myself able to do so, I'll buy them all, 1 per summer that is... smile

I sat in an F12 at the PH Sunday Service. The interior quality was a bit ropey in parts but that's probably because it was a display car (e.g. glove box lid was distorted and had a large gap). Despite a few little touches, the interior is still the incoherent mess largely copied from the 458/FF - there was a real sense of 'nothing much new here'. The boot was smaller than I thought it would be, and IMO the rear end styling is searingly awful, too functionally aerodynamic and not enough style.

But the engine bay is something to behold, the cam-covers are so enticing, and no doubt it would be spectacular to drive. Is it right to judge a car just by sitting in it? Hard to say, but it would take a ride/drive to change my opinion from one of 'meh'. I much prefer the look of the 599, but then I prefer the look of the 430 to the 458.

I too was surprised at how the same dashboard layout and look was lifted into every Ferrari model. Not that I wouldn't take one up the chutney tower to have a 458 on the drive

I sat in all the cars in the "showroom" and none of them impressed me that much. I don't know what I expected, but I didn't feel it was a 240k car to sit in. I fear that driving it wouldn't change my mind either, can a car really be worth that much?

BUT- That Enzo, I would have happily paid 700k+ if I had it just for the way it looked. Much more special than the newer things.
