Whilst it sounds a bit mental, I can see why they've done it - to ensure then2 types of bay don't get mixed up. How else should they be separated?

..possibly with a sign that says pay and display with an arrow facing in that direction and then Residents Parking Only sign for those spaces. That's how it works in the big smoke.

Also, aren't he painted bays different for each designated area?

I don't know what's most concerning; the tiny double yellows, the fact a journalist and photographer went to the scene to write up a story on them or that there's 961 comments!

Or maybe even that over 300 people in some cases made the effort to "like" a comment on a story about little double yellow lines.

A PH thread on the story is not concerning of course, its quite normal and necessary

I don't really see the problem. Seems like as sensible a way to mark the gap between the two parking areas as any.

Quite how anyone could get "angry" over such a thing is beyond me, but perhaps sums up the idiocy of the general public or the media or both.
