prodrive V8 vantage, anyone have experience?

i'm getting strong urges to one of these but i'm unsure as to exactly what differences there were from standard?
some don't have the wheels of rear spoiler so how do you know exactly what you're getting?
only problem is the one i quite fance just has a plain black interior when i really fancied kestral tan, but i'm thinking the increased performance may take my mind off it!

Can't comment on the prodrive thing..... But what I will say is, if you want a kestrel interior.... Then if it were me I'd hang out for the right car to come along....
Think of it this way.... You spend 99% of your time with the car, on the INSIDE
. So don't settle for somthing you're not sure about....
This was one of the most important things when I bought my car, I was determined to get the spec I wanted, and now 18 months later, I still get that warm feeling, when I sit in the car, and its the interior that makes it feel special to me

Wait for a Kestrel car, preferably one with Sports Pack fitted, then get the manifolds and catalysts from Bamford Rose.
Turns a 4.3 into something that more than keeps up with a 4.7. So imagine what it does with a 4.7
Oh and the noise... You'll like the noise
Of course the other way to look at it... Get a black interior and have it retrimmed... Might be less expensive. Cars are eminently changeable, there aren't 250GTOs, they're mass produced (relatively) and the components are interchangeable. A partial trim on black leather for about £900 in Kestrel would look amazing. Door cards and seat inserts.

It was never a distinct model. It is a load of performance / suspension / bodywork modifications you could order. So you may find a car with just the performance increase. Didn't seem to sell well as AM then bought out the N400 and their own performance upgrades.some don't have the wheels of rear spoiler so how do you know exactly what you're getting?

Make sure you see Kestrel in the flesh first.. It does go more orange with age ... The Prodrive set-up is in essence free flow racing cats, exhaust, ecu remap and a higher rev limit, it also features a switchable exhaust valve. Because Dave Richards owns Pro-Drive ( who built Astons race/rally cars) and shares in A.M. It was a sort of semi-official conversion and came with its own warranty, this helps residuals a tad as modified cars need to have a proven pedigree to retain value. It's a nice conversion, but as the other guys have said you also now have the Bamford guys who are ex-factory and are building a good rep, so check out both options/prices, but best avoid supachip style add ons IMO.

Lunablack's is the better interior out of the two as the light dash reflects off the windscreen something chronic. However, don't be deterred, the AM dealer that I test drove a car with that had a light interior offered to have the top section re-trimmed as part of the deal. http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/use...

do you take part exchanges? 
But it's not kestrel tan. I get the point about the dash though, I've test drove one & it does glare on the screen but I love it so if I'm going the vantage route, I think it's what I should hold out for.
