Do all the V8 cars have the Salisbury 4HA diff?

Looking into investing in a Quaif ATB.

4HU, surely. Maybe the 660SEAC had something different but AFAIK the Salisbury was the only type fitted to the Wedge (albeit with different ratios and in LSD/ non-LSD spec.). Took me 12 years to realise that mine has 3.31:1 rather than the usual 3.54:1 ratio!

I believe the 390se belonging to Russ Wood has a Torsen diff (fluid coupling rather than a plate type IIRC).

It is Torsen but I don't think it's fluid coupling, I think it's worm wheel.

I have never had the cover off so I can't confitm it.

Hi Guys,

thanks Ian.

That will do.

I just wanted to check alas Quaife do not list an ATB for this model Salisbury but I'm sure they must offer one.
