Looks good, Certainly an alternative to the megabucks standard plastic box.

Only I'm pretty sure smooth inlets are important and those straight pipes with the sharp bends won't help the airflow. Perhaps the cheapest way would be to try getting an exhaust manufacturer to bend some straight lengths of pipe for you.

I hardly ever post negative thoughts but...

scratchchin Why?

The standard airbox design has been proved to be very efficient for airflow, not only by the factory but by other experienced tuners trying to improve on it. This is very different, and not in a good way for airflow.

Ally conducts heat very effectively so when the rad fans run in traffic and the engine isn't pulling air rapidly through the main pipe the box will heat the air up to 90C+, reducing power and increasing chance of overheating and pre-ignition.

Hope you have bellmouths on the end of the pipes otherwise they will flow a lot less air at high airspeeds.

Hope that mesh area isn't open to the air above the alternator - the original suitably large pipe pulls cooler air from below chassis level.

Sorry frown
