Decent driving boots

Sparco seem the way to go, but does anyone have better recommendations? Just for track days and occasional karting events. Nike Shox are not working for me...

Do you need proper fireproof things? If not, Puma Speed Cats are highly recommended.

I like Gola Chase too - but anything low profile with a rounded heel is good.

I have a pair of Oakley Race Low.

Subtle or Loud colours available depending on what you're after.

Puma Future Cat Race Boots here, have held up pretty well to 2 seasons of racing karts (and being worn around paddocks all weekend) and quite a few track days.

If you mean the speed cats, be careful. - they seem to come up 1-2 sizes too small so definitely try before you use them too much.

Go and try some on, if you can swing it.

Demon Tweeks are in Wrexham.

GPR are in Silverstone.

There are other stores available.

For the record, I have been using Sparco K-mids for years and like them, but of course you could have totally different shaped feet to me.

If you're after pedal feel it took me eight years (including trying speedcats which i thought were crap by comparison) of experimenting to find these diesel trainers. I have a pair of £150 OMP Nurburgrings to satisfy racing regs, otherwise i'd wear the diesels all the time for track, they are that good, even for Bike engined cars (always a test of even dedicated driving boots due to their very light clutches, unassisted brakes,and featherweight accelerators). Cant recommend these enough really - and you don't look like an F1 anorak or a chav when you get out of the car. Found many 'racing' boots to have thin but overly reinforced soles which cut down on pedal feel.
