Brake caliper ID anyone?

Just bought these very little used brakes for my Triumph TR6. They were originally fitted to a Racetorations built TR6 and have only done a few thousand miles. They'll need a more "road friendly" pad than the ones supplied, but should make stopping a little better. I think they are primarily race calipers (hence the quick release mecanism for the pads) and as such don't have dust seals, however they have titanium (or some such similar material) pistons so corrosion isn't an issue, and with the low mileage my car does and the avoidance of rain if at all possible, I'm not too concerned.
I think the MAY be AP calipers, but I can't find any reference to the QR mechanism on the AP website. Any ideas or info most welcome.

A photo of the pad, and some of its basic dimension, might be more useful - easy enough then to look at any of the catalogues to see what the fitment is.

Since your life depends on it I'd be tempted to chuck them away and buy some proper brakes.

I've never seen any AP calipers without AP stamped on them and I've never seen any that use pip pins as part of the quick release.

But, OP if you take the pads to your local factors they will have a book with pad outlines in it. So will be able to match up your pads and tell you what other cars they fit, you can them get some from AP or Mintex to suit your needs.

I run a set of Compbrakes on the TVR, they'll have your fking eyeballs out if you use them in anger...

Just because they've done 3 or 4,000 miles, is that a reason to chuck them out? It must cost you a FORTUNE in brakes if this is what you do!

Same as most Porsche 964 rears especially the Turbo

If you need some call Performance Braking on 01600 713117 and quote that part number, he also has a TR6 in race spec tucked away somewhere!

I've found out that they are Girling calipers from Racetorations. Sadly they're not forthcoming with what they were originally fitted to.....any ideas?

As i mentioned it is the same shape as the 964 Porsche rears, i dont know if they were fitted to anything else or indeed if they were girling calipers or just happened to be the same shape (unlikely). John @ PB worked for Girling so he may have more idea.

I can get some Brembo Sport pads for that shape, if you are interested PM me.
