Just been on there website ,they have extreme performance and performace series tyres.

Are the Performnace series a road leagal track day tyre or just a road tyre like the Toyo T1r and Falken 452`s

Im looking for something like the Toyo R1R with plenty of tread but cheaper ..Im wondering federal do a similar tyre ,the Federal 595rsr looks more like a R888 to me .

cheers

Had these on my Mazda MX5 which was pretty much only used for trackdays. I lost count of how many days they did but they were pretty good and were well worn with no cracks at all when I sold the car. I have a Caterham with 13 inch wheels now and wish they made em in my current size but they seem to start at 15 inch which is a shame.

federal 595's are bargain tyres and bloody good, shocking thing for me is how good they still are in the wet, used them on rent4rings swift, great tyres and about 505 of the cost of the equivalent R888

I'm getting 8 track days from a set of Federals on the fronts - rears are lasting even longer.

Thanks for your help, Problem is the limited sizes and limited width sizes due to catching body chassis etc

The widest you can go without modification is rear245 front225

These are the closest match to original setup but they come a bit narrow .Does anyone know if they come much wider they come , which would be a plus .

Federal RSR`s 205/50/16 Diameter 610mm / original 205/55/15 Diameter 606mm

Federal RSR`s 225/45/17 Diameter 633mm / original 225/50/16 Diameter 632mm

I used them on a track prepared e36 M3. Rears lasted for about 8 track days but fronts knackered within 2 days. They did not grip as well as the 888's.

That's odd. My rear tyres are wearing faster.

Try 'mytyres' i got my 235/40 18 RSR-Rs for £110 ea delivered. 888's are £195 ea. Quite sensitive to temperature/pressure, tyre wall is softer so i wear the shoulder more.
I am on my 4th set!

What pressures should these be setup (cold) e36 track car (all stripped) if that helps? I have no idea when it comes to all the setup stuff really.
