Saturday the 20th of October, one night for two people, blimey they're even charging over £150 for hostels!

Nice loing hotels are circa £200-300 for one night!

Anyone know of anything decent?

Must be city centre with a car park & somewhere you'd be willing to take the other half smile

We had a similar conundrum earlier this year, all the hotels you've heard of wanted £300 for a weekend.

We ended up at the Liner hotel which was OK - not brilliant but it did have a locked car park and the location was pretty good.

Liverpool playing at home. Check their fixture list and pick a weekend they are playing away.

Check the Wirral, 15 mins away by cab or ferry or train and nicer (maybe) cheaper definitely.

My wife and I stayed here in MArch this year.

Very good location, with secure parking about 2 mins walk away.

Ahh, just checked and fully booked.

Why the fk would anyone want to stay in liverpool? It's a st hole. I suggest the YHA if you must !

Southport is st too, but probably cheap, with loads of crappy B&B's and there's a train every 15 mins to liverpool.

Or What about staying in Chester, and NOT going to liverpool, as it's st.

If you want the REAL scouse alternative try one of the dockers b&B's down the dock road, or what about stealing a car and sleeping in that.

Did I say I'm from Liverpool? I might move one day. Places to avoid ? Antony Gormless's Another Place and The Tate Modern. fking modern art. it's st.

The only place worth visiting is the Slavery Museum, to find out how Liverpool came to be so rich.

There's the Best Western The Alicia opposite Sefton Park?
Pretty sure it has a car park and I drive past it everyday.
It's not right in the city centre but it's 10 minutes tops into town.

£119 it's coming up at on booking.com for the night.

wow, everywhere is pretty booked!

Best I have found for a reasonable(ish) is a Travellodge Liverpool Aigburth £94.95. transport is easy enough from there. It is a travelodge though so proberbly best expect the worst. There is a carvery next door though!

Also if you need some good reccomendations for pubs/restarants then give me a shout smile

Trivago has some great deals. Cabs are really cheap in the city.

Otel.com appears to have the Adelphi for £39.00!!!

Stayed at http://www.bridgestreet.com/ once, that was nice and I think cost less than the amounts you have mentioned.

I did look at there site but upon googling for dead back there seemed to plenty of disgruntled customers-hotels booked at low prices but no reservations made!

In the end I went with olotels.com, got the Hilton for 170 with breakfast. Rang up the next day & the booking was confirmed so away we go.

Reason for staying in liverpool is front row seats at deacon blue & as I'm working that day time will be tight, cheers guys!

I do, Woolton.

Good choice on the Hilton, given that the amount is the same for most hotels you couldnt have got much closer (I am assuming you will be at the Echo)

suites in kirkby... it's not in the nicest part of l'pool, and quite out of the city, but £126 on that night, and every room's a suite!
