What do or did you do with your old games and consoles?
Discussion
I was clearing the house today and went through my old collection of games and consoles.
I am keeping the NES, got rid of the SNES and Mega Drive a looooonnng time ago but never got round of getting rid of the PS2, Xbox and their associated games.
I'm in 2 minds:
- Keep: so I can hear my children telling me how much these are uncool and laaame compare to whatever they'll be playing in 10-15 yrs time (current sprog is a 2.5 y.o girl so I may have a lucky escape with this one). But also keep for nostalgia sake the day I've got a house big enough for a man's room!
- Give away: to someone who can't afford it / youth centre...
I am reluctant to sell when I see the prices on ebay, it's just not worth the hassle.
What would you do?

I sold my mint, boxed SNES games many years ago to buy PS1 titles and boy do I regret it. Certain complete games can easily be worth £30-£40 now. The PS2 and original Xbox are in that limbo of being too new to be retro and too old to be in demand. To be frank there's nothing rare amongst the games you have, aside from what appears to be a limited edition Resident Evil 4. THe consoles should be around £25 each since they're boxed
I still have an Atari 2600 console that I think dates back to the '80s. Doesn't come out very often, but it's quite comical when it does. I also have a Playstation 1 with a couple of games. I was a bit late in buying that one, and shortly after I did it was superceded, which is why I don't have many games for it.
Just recently I chucked out an Amiga 500 and an Amiga 1200 with shed loads of games simply because it was too much of a faff to set them up and use them. Probably should have put them on eBay for a few quid, but I just couldn't be bothered.
