Hi, I've had a quote from Stratstones, just wondered if there are any competitive, good independents about that could service the V12V (1st service)?.

I know Jock, just enrages me that for a minor fettle 1st service ( brake fluid/oil/filter and run of the mill 'ticking')theywant to charge such an exorbitant rate

Just sorting my 2nd Year Service on my V8V - Stratstones Cardiff wouldnt budge from the standard price of c £1,000, Grange Exeter are doing it for £645,including a loan car for the day - that must be close to an Independents price anyway??

Great price, well below what I was quoted....for a 'minor' 1st service. Need to look about, Cotswolds dealer may be better.

I prefer the 'independent' route - for me it's Bamford Rose - can I suggest you have a read of the thread near the top of page 1 (paid).

I believe it's worth the drive from East Cornwall for such depth of knowledge and care.

Same question but for the Portsmouth/Fareham/Southampton area. My first option is Harwoods in Chichester as I used them for my XKR until the last service when I used an Independent near Cosham called 'Jagcare'.
