Adult Braces 6 Month Smiles and invisalign

HI all as the title states I'm interested in adult Braces I have had braces before when I was 16-17 and my teeth were lovely and straight apart from one tooth which I was given a removable brace to correct.

Unfortunately I was so happy to finally have the metal brace off, the removable one was put to one side and eventually I lost it!
The teeth that were straightened have not moved without the use of a retainer and are still nice and straight.
I'm now approaching 25 and this tooth has slightly moved a bottom tooth out of alignment over the years and I'm slightly self conscious about the two teeth although no one has ever noticed them my bottom tooth goes over my top tooth (overbite).

Has anyone had the 6 month smile braces or invisalign I'm 99% sure I'm going to bite the bullet!! and payout for the treatment.
Another dilemma I'm facing is whether or not to have a bonded retainer or a removable retainer so advice on this would be really helpful, I’m leaning towards the removable one only because the teeth that were straightened have not moved and being older and maybe wiser will remember to use the removable as and when needed.
But I would really appreciate anyone’s views that have undergone either type of treatment or maybe someone can recommend an alternative that does not include veneers.
Patients and dentists comments please feel free to help me out I have looked extensively on the internet already but would like your comments/reviews all the same.

Treatment Quoted for 6 month braces £1750 for top and £2750 for top & bottom including whitening and retainer.

I have not had a quote for the invisalign as yet but understand the treatment to be slightly longer.

Thread recently, also look into Inman Aligner, simliar - just another option.

Good luck! I had my uppers done recently, not perfect but much much better than they were!

Thank you I've copied it over what retainer have you gone for bonded or removable and how have you managed with it?
