Does anyone know what is happening with MotorDriveLive this year?
I checked the website a few weeks ago and it showed dates for 18/19 September 2004 but no booking option.
I've just checked again and its now showing that details for 2005 will be available soon.
Has this year's event been cancelled?

The site is here:

They kept changing the date for a while...it was going to be in May then September...

Very confusing.

I went 2003's event - really enjoyed it and wrote with feedback for them when requested. In 2003 they did it over a bank holiday weekend - I'll bet they had trouble getting the same thing in 2004 and they worked out that this would affect attendance. After all - if you have to take a day off work you're less likely to go...

If they do one in 2005 at a time I can go then I definitely will. Particularly if they take on board some of my suggestions. (I wanted a chance to have a go on the handling circuit in something and be able to book some of the more popular cars in advance and, perhaps, be able to take my own car around the hill route as a comparison...)

Sorry to jump on the thread.

Millbrook?

Millbrook is a hillbilly village in SE Cornwall where a fair amount of the population (>1%) have hare lips.

There can only be one Millbrook, why on earth are you going there?

Millbrook - the old Vauxhall automotive proving ground. It has a handling track, the famous "hill route" and a high-speed bowl. It also has a mile straight and a range of surfaces.

Vauxhall sold it eventually and it is now an independent business offering proving ground services to automotive manufacturers.

Its possible to emulate all kinds of driving A/B roads, hills, crests, dips, the motorway, smooth surfaces, poor surfaces - you name it.

Because of this the venue is also often hired for press launches of vehicles - to let the journos have a go at the cars in a controlled environment.

Motordrivelive is an event which basically did the same for the public. A good laugh.
