The next round of the TVRCC Challenge Cup takes place at Rockingham Motor Speedway this Sunday. It's a great venue with excellent facilities located near Corby in Northants. The TVR's have a double header with qualifying in the morning and two races in the afternoon. The grid will include 3 Griffs, a tuscan racer, turbo Tazmins and the good ole 2.8's. There's a good program on the day with the Legends (very entertaining), modified production saloons, Max 5 and the John Cooper Challenge.

So who's up for a TVR day out then? To start the ball rolling I'll bring along my race car (a bit sik but hoping it goes the distance) and a Cerbie 4.5

Hi Ceejay & Graham,

I'll be there on Sunday with Chimeara and Camera.
With luck the parking will be as good as last time..in the paddock.

It is very unfortunate that this round clashes with the Tuscans/GT/F3.

Although of course the most dedicated TVR motorsport fan can always go to Rockingham on Sunday for the TVRCC races and Thruxton on Bank Holiday Monday for the Tuscans.

Hey Cliff

Was talking yesterday about this, and that I haven't actually made it to support you yet this year

Anyway, I'm away this weekend, but thought I might turn up to Mallory - been speaking to a couple of other people and I reckon we could make a day of it.

So if anyone else is otherwise committed, how about meeting up on 19th Sept? I might be tempted to do some baking....

Who's up for Rockingham on Sunday, then? And are we cheeky enough to get group parking?

It's in hand, just finalising a few arrangements with Rockingham, watch this space...

The plan is to put the TVRCC flags and banners up in a section of the car park (unfortunately there is NO allocated parking), and advise TVR owners to park there.

More details to follow..

Hey Steve,

Any news on the parking?

Looks like a few Northants TVRCC members are gonna come along.

All, the parking is as follows:

1. Not allocated (sorry)
2. First come basis
3. In the public area behind the grandstands
4. I'm not planning to "man" the area as such, just thought it would be nice to have all the TVRs together and to help promote the marque and TVRCC Challenge Cup

Sorry it's a bit vague, but I've got hold of our Northants region banner (thanks Dennis) and a couple of flags. My aim is to put these up late Saturday night or first thing Sunday. If anyone is camping (and has a TVR) let me know as you can be the first markers!!

My advise is arrive early and head for the flags!!

I'm going to update the TVRCC Northants website shortly (www.tvrcc-northant.co.uk) and if any moderators could make this a "sticky thread", then that'll help too.

Hopefully see you there (I'll be the fat bloke in a Synergy motorsport rugby shirt, toting a camera!)

Steve
