Griffith 500 - What's it worth?!...

I'd be interested in views on what my Griff 500 is worth - I've owned it for 16 years and serviced/maintained to the highest standards. I can see a Griff 500 on eBay that is a year older than mine with (unattractively) low mileage for £27,995! 
Details follow:
TVR Griffith 500, 1995 'M' reg - Current owner for past 16 Years!
In Crimson Starmist with full biscuit hide and power assisted steering.
One of the best cared for and cherished cars in the country – maintained and serviced by TVR main dealers Fernhurst and TVR Power from new with full documented service history and only 59,000 miles. MOT and full service completed in March. Always garaged in my underground car park and driven almost exclusively in the dry.
No expense spared and this car really is the dream Griffith 500 specification – I have spent in excess of £20,000 on maintenance and factory-approved improvements including the very sought-after TVR Power “Taraka” engine upgrade (£4,500) which improves the reliability hugely compared to the original unit whilst at the same time liberating an extra 30BHP. TVR Power in Coventry were the engine builders to the (now defunct) TVR Engineering Headquarters in Blackpool, and as such TVR Power have the most experienced team with trusted expertise in building and maintaining TVR V8 engines - see the following link for details of the upgraded components in the Taraka upgrade:

The car is complete with all paperwork including original handbook with all stamped service records, MOT certificates, tax discs and a full file of receipts. The car comes complete with car cover, spares (bulbs, fuses, brake pads, spare fan belt, etc), locking wheel nuts, original Griffith floor mats, and the original radio cassette with an upgraded aerial. Plus two sets of original keys with Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser units.
Also, to maintain the car in optimum condition with the latest high-quality components, I have invested in a new genuine clutch, uprated aluminium radiator with dual fans, Nitron adjustable suspension (MUCH better consistency and comfortable/sporty compromise than the standard shocks/springs), New high power starter motor from TVR parts, New battery, New wishbones and bushes, New windscreen (original ones are often delaminating now), New rear screen (again, originals will all be misted-up and milky by now), EBC grooved brake discs and pads (better performance from cold), Uprated power steering and brake hoses, New differential, Uprated manifold gaskets, TVR Power purple rocker covers, TVR Power engine mount, New carbon canister, Windscreen washers, HT leads and shrouds, New genuine wheel bearings and ball joints, New genuine gearbox bearings, and Frequent chassis protection treatments. Full four-wheel alignment and geometry recently completed along with a set of 4 brand new tyres in September.
The bodywork and paintwork is in excellent condition (with regular application of Meguiar’s shampoo and wax), and the full biscuit leather is in superb original condition (thanks to regular treatment with Autoglym leather cream). The car is booked in next week for a full front-end re-spray to ensure that it is presented in showroom condition.
This car has been my pride and joy for the last 16 years, runs perfectly and sounds fantastic with the superb TVR 5.0 Litre V8 soundtrack, and only my expanding family responsibilities are causing this very reluctant sale (I need 4 seats!).
You're not going to find a better cared for example of this, the most beautiful TVR ever made. It’s an appreciating modern classic with attracts cheap classic insurance and gets positive attention wherever it goes (unlike Porsches, Astons and Ferraris!). It looks and drives faultlessly and all of the features such as electric windows, power steering, central locking, lights etc work perfectly with none of the electrical gremlins some TVRs are known for. It really is one of the best TVRs available and any inspections are welcome – I'm located in Kensington, London.

Sad to hear you've got to sell. Don't recall seeing the car so its difficult to comment but a well mainteined car is likely to command a small premium and sell faster but don't expect to be much more than £16-£17k I would estimate. Look in the PH classifieds at similar Griffs. Unless its rare, and SE or had a significant rebuild or similar then its going to be within a grand or so.
As this is your 5th post I suspect the car isn't well known nationally as a lot are, which would assist in the sales process.
If the one on e-bay sells at that price then suggest that may be your best outlet. Often stuff on e-bay goes for more (and sometime a lot more) than it would elsewhere, due to the time constraint people don;t investigate options elsewhere.

For me, colour and ode reading put it in sub £14k, 60k miles is not an 'only done' but these cars will rocket in residuals in the next 10 yrs, e type status!
You have a good service history and you've owned it 16 yrs, always a good seller those details.
Don't compare to Fern'hurts' they want 20%+ for their cars.

Difficult one to judge a value as really its only realised once its actually sold,comparing cars like for like is even more difficult seeing as tvr`s in general are never really the same in spec, condition, history etc ........ having said that and having discussed the value of mine for insurance purposes at its recent service at David Gerald's I'd hazard a guess also at between 16-17k, though at the end of the day its down to what someone is prepared to pay,and what your prepared to accept as always.

We've had one on the 500 but it don't add £4.5k to the value, maybe £500 or so, or it may sell over a similar example.
Not sure how many time the BV has been rebuilt so can I add £4k for each rebuild. Sorry, but you won't get that back.
The car on e-bay has covered less than 9k miles, which they may think putrs it aty that price. There's a 94 car with 48k miles for £13,750 which is more realistic. £16k seems about right.

In my experience, the higher mileage cars are always going to be the ones to go for. Not only better value, but the chocolate parts have already all been replaced...

I certainly does look like a very well cared for original example with a sensible 'accepted' upgrades so it should be worth top dollar. The question is what is top dollar nowadays? As many people have said something is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay. I would personally stick it up for £24.995 as see if you get any bites. I certainly wouldn't want to see it go for any less than 20k. Just bear in mind that unless it is a giveaway price then it will take time to shift. Also bear in mind that the end of summer is the wrong time to sell.

Not sure I totally agree but it does seem well cared for but all the work completed is necessary ongoing maintenence and nothing out the ordinary. We had the choice of a standrad rebuild when the engine went or upgrade for another grand or so so we upgraded (also at Power). Again, don't see any big benefit here unless its still under a transferable warranty. the 94/95 cars seem to be at the lower end, maybe due to being pre serp?Matthew

As FFG says you never get the money back you invest.
Prior to selling mine, I totted up around £27k I had spent,just in my head.
I got what I think was good money for mine, and not much less than when I first put it up for sale in April.
If you think they are worth big money then you will have to wait for the right buyer.
Having said that there are still an awful lot for sale that were around when I put mine up....
