MBE & Rev Limiter

Hi guys,I've got a sp6 Cerb (dont know if it makes any difference),with the mbe ecu.After I've had my rebuild I want to have the revs limited so as to give the engine another bit of protection & I also don't see the point in revving the nuts off it when the power/torque have dropped off.
Does the mbe have this facility? If so can it be mapped to come in at whatever revs you want? I'll prob bring it in a bit lower than most would as I'm having the torque brought in lower down the rev range,where I'll use it more,at the expense of top end power.
If you can't do this what options are there for after market stuff?
Is the Emerald another option? Not sure if the ignition goes from batch to sequential that I could live without all the pops & bangs !

The rev limit is set by taking fuel out of the map .. the rev limiter is in fact a weak mixture misfire .. so you don't want to be on the limiter for very long. My advice would be to reduce the rpm for the shift light/buzzer instead so you have an audible/light warning you're nearing the revs you want to change at .. this is mappable against throttle position in the mbe but essentially you'd just set all the throttle points to the rpm you want the light/buzzer to come on at.
