Purchased this little noise maker at the weekend.

1990 S4 Auto 5.0L
Cup 1's
119k on the clock.

It's pretty damn mint and plan to keep it that way.

Only mods will be exhaust and intake. Maybe a touch lower when i get the suspension set up.

It's a thirsty bugger but that V8 grumble is just so fecking addictive.

Better pics to follow when it stops raining.

Very nice. Any plans for it?

The front ride height looks a bit high on that 355. Replica?

I'm amazed at what the car has for being 22 years old. It is indeed a lovely place to be.

I always thought they were a bit large but in the metal they're not much bigger than a 968/944.

No, engine's definitely not going in the Mr2. That's getting sold to make some room.

Plans are to keep this as is and trade up to a 911 at some point in the future with a lightweight track car of sorts to compliment it.

Lovely, lovely machines. Nice choice.

Need to buy one in the next 5yrs before prices go up. I prefer an original GTS as late as possible, but somehow feel strangly attracted boxedin to a Strosek gullwing version (minus the odd headlamps)...

Nice car OP - be interested to know what it's like to live with. i'd love one as a daily but think that might be a tad expensive!

Living in the UK, it's not a daily unless you're well lined in the pocket department, which i'm not!

It will get used plenty but slogging into town and back everyday would be a waste i think.

Lovely. Some Cup mirrors would be on my shopping list to go with the Cup1 alloys.

Awesome car, Olie... Would still love a GTS... Apparently the S4 cams in a GTS make a lot of power wink

OP, can you define 'thirsty bugger'? I have less than half of that engine, along with a turbocharger and I only saw 14.3mpg calculated at my last fill-up!
