Looking to go early November.
Need on beach and not silly money.

What i don't need, obnoxious Russians, the sts, constant hassle.

Any ideas?

All i can say is go south!

All of the northern resorts are now very popular with russian new money.

Head south, its quieter, friendlier and largely ruski free.

Look at Marsa Alam.

The iberotel coraya beach is wonderful - went last october, lots of germans but they are fine. A russian guy did arrive but was "removed" within 24hrs.

We have just booked the hilton nubian resort in Marsa for the new year.

If you are into diving - the coraya is on its own reef and turtles are commonplace. Some fantastic dive sites slong the coast there too.

Marsa is a relatively new resort so is a bit barren. Port ghalib is also worth a look - hopefully its got a bit livlier this year.

Let me know if you have any questions.

We dropped a few people off at the resta last october - everyone seemed happy with the hotel.

Can't speak for/ compare with other resorts as I've only done Egypt once, but El Gouna's lovely - nice mix of nationalities when we went this Feb too smile

We went to El Gouna last year, was much more pleasant than other Egyptian resorts.
Lack of hassle in the street was a revelation, having been once i'd prefer somewhere else as it isn't the largest resort.

Marsa Alam seems to be a popular decision here.

No more input?
Just want a nice couple of weeks somewhere without spending big bucks. Is everywhere rubbish now?
Still not found a really decent pale in 'Gypt.

Max budget about £2k for us both, so AI.

The reviews generally say bad Russkie infested.
(Nothing against Russians, i've worked with many just it seems to attract the bad ones).

Cheers mate.

Unless its changed greatly in the last 6 months MA is pretty ruskie free.

Ive been to various places in egypt over the past 10 years. As far as im aware the resorts south of hurghada should sort you out.

Intercontinetal or Sofitel in Taba Heights are both good. Also excellent if you want to nip over to Petra or Jerusalem if thats your sort of thing

Booked Sentido in Hurghada, seems to get decent revues.
Only 5 weeks to go so we'll find out soon enough!

The whole of Egypt appears to be full of them.
Every review i've read mentions them.

Didn't find them a problem when we went to Hurghada in Feb - it meant plenty of fit women for one thing! biggrin
