Warning light cover on early cars

I have noticed that a few '87 cars don't have a cover over their warning light 'swoosh', mine included. Is that because they were never fitted or because they have fallen off? It is still 3 weeks until I will see my car in person, but I bought a replacement cover as a precaution from here:

I would have thought all would have to have the swoosh, as that is where identifying symbols are marked for which warning light is which.
But in true TVR logic these are glued on, but if you need to remove one of the warning lights they push out of the front of the dash, so you need to prise the swoosh off to do this.

That's what I thought, but after seeing a few cars without them, I began to wonder if this was added a little while after the start of production. Update...
It is possible to get replacement warning light units that come in 2 pieces, they have a push into the dash plastic moulded bit wirth the coloured lens and an aluminium bulb holder part with the with the connections on, that just pushes into the bottom/back of the plastic bit, so can be slid out replace the bulb and slide back in..
I found these in my boxes of spares that I have collected over the years, but must be available from Halfrauds or similar.

mines screwed in, not glued.the Bible edition 2(top pic on page 231) shows a car with no swoosh
