Lotus has variable value head for 3.5L ?

I’m I correct that Lotus has already developed a variable value head for the 3.5L?
(but was never used)
I seem to remember seeing it on a web site?

Can't remember the link.. but i think you are correct. Lotus deemed it unnecessary for the esprit ..
