I want to fit a battery cut-off switch to counter the constant drain and effect on battery charge. Question is, does it matter which polarity is isolated? Haven't had a good look yet to see where I can fix the switch without excessive lead length but would appreciate any input from those who have done it before.
Thanks.

Had a similar problem with the battery being discharged so fitted an Anderson plug/socket on the inner wing.

Just disconnect them to isolate the battery and then can use the Anderson socket to charge the battery without grovelling in the passenger well.

Fit a Battery Brain.

A brilliant device that allows you to disconnect the battery from 5 meters away using a remote, after you have locked the car.

Remove the key from the switch and have extra garage security. Easy switching off Helps to reset the ECU if it has quircs.

I put my switch out of sight in the glove box as well. My pal had his attached to the face of the toe-board and his wife caught it with her foot and accidently turned it off.

I've done exactly this - easy to do, and it's well enough out of the way so won't get kicked by a passenger. My main reason was to be able to disconnect the battery in a hurry in case of electrical fire, but it's handy if you ever need to disconnect the battery to work on the car too. I leave it turned on at all other times, and use the cigarette lighter socket to charge the battery if it ever gets low on charge.
