Battery cut-off switch
Discussion
I want to fit a battery cut-off switch to counter the constant drain and effect on battery charge. Question is, does it matter which polarity is isolated? Haven't had a good look yet to see where I can fix the switch without excessive lead length but would appreciate any input from those who have done it before.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Fitted one to my Griff in the negative side, mounted the cut off switch in the passenger footwell high up in the kick panel easy peesy
And it was high enough to be out of sight and out of the way.

I've done exactly this - easy to do, and it's well enough out of the way so won't get kicked by a passenger. My main reason was to be able to disconnect the battery in a hurry in case of electrical fire, but it's handy if you ever need to disconnect the battery to work on the car too. I leave it turned on at all other times, and use the cigarette lighter socket to charge the battery if it ever gets low on charge.Ruari
