Reading Material Suggestions
Discussion
All,
Can anyone suggest some good books to get a feel for track day / race car setup? I seem to recall a thread asking for similar suggestions a while back but can't find it, so apologies if this has been covered before.
I am in the process of building a Honda powered Elise with the intention of doing track days next year and want to get a grounding in the finer points of race car engineering. I have a background (at least educationally, if not practically) of Mechanical Engineering to degree level so am happy with books that assume some prior knowledge of the basics and delve into the techy stuff. Ideally looking for a book or books that cover suspension & geometry, practical stuff, engine tuning etc.
I have a decent builder with lots of racing experience doing the car and advising me so am not diving into this completely green but also feel I ought to know more than I do.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
