I want to buy a couple tickets for my hubby as a prezzie for TG Live next month. By then we will have a 2/3 week old little bubba. I cant find anything on the TG site, but do we need to buy a ticket for bubba too? has anyone taken a child under 5 to it before? as it looks like kids tickets are for over 5's.
dont want to get there and be turned away!!

taaa smile

Won't you still be walking like John Wayne after only two weeks?

I think you'll be fine, but don't take the poor child in to the show - it's LOUD.

Not sure but I have to say I can't see it being much fun for anybody involved (you, other audience members, or the baby!). Maybe leave it a while?

Also, may not be relevant but if you haven't had a whooping cough vaccination, parents are apparently being advised to keep the babies away from public gatherings (shopping centres, etc.) until they have had their vaccinations due to the current whooping cough epidemic...

Although they have baby changing facilities. See how you get on with the one you've got first...

That'll be for toddlers and kids running about and also not wanting buggies cluttering the place up and causing hassle.

A newborn you just sling in a pouch and carry a small bag for the nappies. You don't need baby changing facilities and they will be asleep the whole time, only waking to suck on a tit.

It's the easiest time to lug a sprogg around as you need no kit and they are alstroemerias the whole time. Noise doesn't really bother them and one of you can stay away from the really loud stuff.

I'd just do it and enjoy it.

"Top Gear Live is not suitable for children under the age of 5, and any children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (over 18 years old). Children aged 5-15 inclusive are entitled to a FREE ticket valid on Thursday 25 or Friday 26 only (maximum of 2 free children per paying adult"

Doesn't say under 5's are banned, however it looks like kids are only allowed in on the Thurs or Fri? Wonder if that means kids at the weekend or do they need to buy an adult ticket?
Just to warn you, the whole venue can be quite loud. Not just inside the TGL 'theatre'.

I remember how my mates five year old responded to a live action arena at autosport

I think the whole fifteen minutes or so was spent with his mouth absolutely wide open, amazed at what he was seeing and hearing

Really made the show for rather jaded car show goers

...and created a new petrolhead!!!

Not sure i'd want to start them that early though...

You're about to give birth and you're thinking about getting your hubby a present? clap Good effort, most women in you position are panicking about their overnight bag or something.

Clearly has a high quality husband who has either co-ordinated everything competantly and efficiently so his wonderful wife has nothing to concern herself over, or has done absolutely bugger all and kept well away, thus his wonderful wife has been free to co-ordinate everything competantly and efficiently. biggrin

Personally, I think people fanny about far, far too much over first babies and the best thing people can do is just pick them up and get out there as in hindsight it is one of the great periods when you can actually carry on as you wish socially as they just sleep, crap, feed for those first few months.
