It's not because it is all original because the engine is different and I think it isn't even the most desirable model - that being the 23 window Samba.

Yeah I read that but it doesn't really mean much. You can drag a Mk1 Fiesta out the bottom of a lake and spend 25k getting it mint with aircraft precision if you want but it won't sell for £25k unless there is a market there to support it.

Just sat here waiting for my T25 to go the same way. Hopefully, then it will be worthwhile spending some cash on it to get it really sorted.... and hopefully I have the right model - 2.0 litre air cooled...........

Apparently so, I also struggle to understand the appeal of these. Slow (very, very slow), thirsty, terrible handling and rot prone. Allegedly this can all be fixed by slamming it to the deck and giving it massive negative camber.
