2006 S320L CDI Engine Oil - which one?
Discussion
Hi all,
Due an interim oil change on my S Class W221 S320 CDI, and have asked the chaps at my local MB Dealer on a price for 10L of oil for the car. In the past they used to sell Mobil 1 ESP at a very high price. Now they are only recommending Petronas for the car (I wonder why??!) at a very high price and nothing else.
When it went in for a service in Nov 2011, Petronas Oil was used (previously MOBIL 1 ESP was used up until then). Will I be ok in using Mobil 1 ESP for the interim oil change? Or should I stick to the Petronas? (existing oil will be drained via traditional method as opposed to sucking it out from the dipstick point)
I know these cars are VERY sensitive to what oil is used, and would like to be as cautious as possible. Have a good source where I can get the required oil from at a price much less than the MB lot sell it for.
Already have a genuine oil filter and sump plug nut+washer for it.
Thanks
