Hi Steve,
I use 15W40 and never had any issues and still have good oil pressure with 60K on the clock.
Drain oil and refill, then change filter not forgetting to fill oil filter with oil before hand
and wipe a little oil round rubber seal. Fit hand tight only, start engine while checking pressure gauge, leave ticking over and check for any leaks. Turn off engine and check oil level again. Then take for a well earned blast.

Penrite HPR15 15w60 offers the best quality/price balance of any oil I've used in a my Chimaera to date.
It's the right grade for an older engine like the Rover V8, and has the correct zinc levels needed to protect your cam & followers from premature wear.
Don't get me wrong, the Valoline VR1 20w50 is a great oil for our cars and at a great price, but it is a straight mineral.
Nothing wrong with a straight mineral but if you can get a quality synthetic like the Penrite HPR15 15w60 in your engine for only a little bit money than the Valvoline, why wouldn't you?
Anther good option is Millers CSS 20w50 (sometimes sold as 20w60 because its nearer the 60 end of things).
Millers CSS 20w50 is a semi-synthetic so sits nicely between the Valvoline VR1 & the Penrite HPR15, unfortunately it's normally slightly more expensive than the £33.00 I pay for 5 litres of the Penrite.
That's why I've moved over to the Penrite HPR15, it's the right grade, it's the right quality & it's got the essential zinc in the right percentage.
But above all it's a fully synthetic for semi-synthetic/mineral money, can't fault that

hi guys thanks for your input like the sound of the penrite although ive never heard of it .may be a change from the mobile s .
Penrite are from Australia, they are a very well respected company and have been around since the 1920's.They entered the UK market on the back of the classic car boom in the mid 90's offering some great classic & vintage car specific lubricants.
The classic & vintage racing fraternity soon picked up on their products, I've seen their oil hang on in very very hot running racing Austin Healeys where other oils get chopped up and fail.
You cant go wrong with either Millers or Penrite in my opinion.
