Have seen this before but what I can't understand is why at no point he didn't hit the brake??

Looks like the damage cold have been a lot worse.

I'm wondering if he thought no body had noticed. He may as well have hit the brakes coz he wasn't gonna beat a Cerbera anyway. Then to go on and chuck it around the circuit suggests his ego was probably bigger than his commonsense. Nice in slow motion though.nerd

The only thing you can realitically do in that situation is to dip the clutch to remove drive from the wheels and steer it to correct the slide without the influence of the drive train. The back end breaks away in second and he puts on opposite lock and then then comes off the gas to hit the brakes. When he comes off the gas quickly the engine locks or at least drags the rear wheels, effectively doing a handbrake turn with the engine. Hitting the brakes then is of no use unless you have the room not to hit anything. Cold tyres wouldn't help either.

Was impressed by how well the 400 coped with the impact......still wouldn't want the repair bill though!!

On the subject of impacts I glimpsed a few real time smashes from the drivers/riders perspective on YouTube after looking at the luckiest Russian truck driver clip, certainly makes you think, some were horrifying. There's one of a family driving on a motorway minding their own business then suddenly a vehicle comes acrooss from the other side I think and smashes lorry in front of them in the other lane then blank, shyt.

Did I read that right? Did the poster say that there was 'only slight damage to the front bumper'...?
Experts hey. The internet is full of them...
