This is clearly a co-ordinated operation across the area

Excellent, though not permanent enough for my liking!
An additional thing that would royally screw up the scamera campaign would be to fight back when speed limits are unreasonably reduced, e.g. NSL to 40 or 30 mph. Self-adhesive NSL signs of the appropriate diameter for the large and small speed limit signs could be used to quickly reverse the speed limit changes.
Scameras and gatso prosecutions could not succeed if the innocent motorist is driving according to the NSL signs, and those self adhesive things can be a real b****r to remove...

Speed cameras routinely come under high-profile attack as being 'a revenue-earning unfair tax on motorists'. This is not a reflection of majority public opinion. When drivers are surveyed, the majority - about 75% - are found to support cameras

Oh dear...they will only lower the trigger speeds on other cameras to pay for the damaged ones....
Will just be a vicious circle then. Once enough of the bastard things are taken out of action they will no longer be self funding.
Wonder how many people have been prosecuted for damaging Gatsos? Not many I bet, I reckon a good percentage of the population would turn a blind eye, and the chances of a copper driving past is remote.
