I'm hoping to purchase a Kobo-glo on Monday but before I go ahead with the purchase, is it possible to read non-kobo books (in epub format) on a kobo e-reader? I've had a look with google but cannot find any answers, most people seem more interested in read kobo books on a non-kobo e-reader laugh

If it is possible, is it a case of simply connecting the e-reader to the PC and then dropping the book into the kobo library?

Just drag and drop onto the Kobo. All the books on my Kobo Touch are at the top level.

I borrowed three books from my local library (in ePub format) when I went away on holiday (you can't do that on a Kindle). They require Adobe Digital Editions to be installed but that was no great problem . A great way of trying out new authors.

How do they license the book from the library ? Time limited DRM ?

Suffolk libraries have a three week time limited DRM. They use a system called OverDrive.

I have used Digital Editions to transfer the books so far, but if I was to just drag and drop the books onto the Kobo which folder do I put them in? Or do I drop them onto the main folder?

The KoboGlo is ace by the way! biggrin
