Im actually more excited than I was when I bought the S

Austec gave the car a full service, fitted new caps and magnacor leads (fixing the juddering problem! ) they fixed the central locking, the front and rear fog lights are now working, I already had a Y piece so its just the new sports pipes which are going on and im first in line for the Mark Adams tornado chip and rolling road session tomorrow morning

I just need to take some calm down pills to get me through the day

Look forward to seeing the results as I will be following you along the Mark Adams route once I am down there.

Cheers

Nice one ukbob.

We expect a full analysis and cost break down when you've got it back (if you can stop grinning for a moment or two to type it up!)

IIRC young Rob, didn't you say that you were on a bit of a tight budget and worried about maintaining the car prior to your purchase?

So, off you go to get the essentials eh?

Like the "new sports pipes", "Mark Adams tornado chip" and the "Rolling Road"

Im grinning already but cost? hmmm

Austec dont anticipate problems on the rolling road tomorrow, said the car is in great shape, and gave me a figure (which I hope wont change ) of £2039 inc vat this morning

So far, costs have been:

£9000 for the car
£2500 insurance - best quote from Sunninghill!
£ 150 for carl to rip out the imoblisor
£ 130 for new coil, light fittings, gremlin fixes
£ 50 Polish, cloths, car wash stuff
£2039 for the Austec work: Sports pipes, Mark Adams Tornado chip, new air filter, labour, leads, caps, labour, labour fixing lights, central locking etc
£5000 lost earnings, from PH addiction condition

I'd guess thats about 14k with fuel, which is double my "original budget" so to speak, Id hate to think how many pints I could have bought with that

I cant wait to get it back. Marks under strict orders to make the car pop and bang... A LOT!!

This is true, I was on a tight budget, but I work hard, business has gone from strength to strength, and I'll be boiling old shoes every night for dinner for the next few weeks.

I will admit to having a sizable overdraft though but the sports pipes, the RR and tornado chip really were an absolute necessity, as they help the car to pop and bang more

Mail me through my profile if you have any old shoes you dont want

They are going to think im a loonie for sure, but I'll have to call in tomorrow before they start.

"Rob: As well as making sure it pops and bangs and sets of car alarms, please can you map it to breathe as much fire as possible?"

"Mike: ... "

I recon if I asked Mike "What types of james bond accessories could you fit to the car?" he might just take me seriously
