Protech shock - idiot question time
Discussion
Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of a thick moment and wonder if you can help me out.
Fitting a set of Protechs to the front of my car. Question is - which way up? They dont seam to fit easily the normal way up (adjuster at the bottom). The top hat seamed to foul on the arm. I've mounted them inverted for now. Is this right, wrong, not a problem or going to kill the shocks quickly?
Answers on a postcard please.
Thanks

Take them off and fit them right way up, the only reason they are fouling the arm is because there's no weight on the suspension, as soon as it's back on the ground it will be fine.
You will probably see marks on the suspension arm where it has fouled in the past anyway, mine actually has serious dents in it.

I'm not sure about Protechs, but I remember the debate going on earlier in the summer when I put my Nitrons on. The concensous with those was that it didn't matter, although access to the adjuster was better when fitted inverted. I don't fiddle with mine so elected to put them in with the adjuster at the top and spring bed at the bottom. Either way it is a bloody tight fit though!
