Last year being young stupid foolish and just generally fed up, i scrapped my audi coupe, due to is needing brakes all round and starter motor problems and just got fed up and sent it to its grave, i have been really regretting this over the last few months and pondered with the idea of another but they just arnt the same as my old one,
so assuming the scrap yard still has it and are happy for me to buy it back at what will be a hugely inflated price compared to what i got for it, what is the process of putting it back on the road, people probably going to think im stupid for wanting to do it buts its just one of them cars i want back and money thrown at it isnt a issue, any (sensible) advice will be much appreciated, and while im here just thought would say a massive hello as im a new member although have been reading the forums for about 2 years

I sold a Lambretta, my first ever bike, Isle of Wight on August bank, lots of great memories, crashed it, allsorts. I delivered it to the blokes house. Hmm, then I'd suggest getting in touch with them first and seeing how much is still left of it; if it is available then call your local DVLA office (if you have one nearby that is still open) or call central DVLA (good luck with that, but they can be okay)Grenoble said:

how much is left doesnt bother me if it can be had back, just dont know why no others seem the same as it, and as for contactin the DVLA i only get weekends off and dont fancy being on hold for the 2 days hahaGrenoble said:

guess even if it has been like that i shall have to learn the hard way, but it might be all worth it in the end

If the shell still exists all the good bits will be gone.just keep the memories.
Constructively, you may find that the other cars you've tried recently haven't appeared as good as you remember, because the car isn't as good as you remember...if that makes sense!
Over time, we tend to build up the +ves in our mind and forget the -ves. You'll most likely find that the cars were similar and what you didn't like in the ones you've been in recently were actually present in your car back then.
Ever got with an ex a little while after breaking up? Not as a relationship, but for a "bit of fun"?
I strongly suggest you move on to pastures new!

but i will see if it is still there and is salvageable , and i do remember the negatives very very well
suppose its just one of them things that i have a big connection with and cant accept i sent it to death
