Just after some recomendations for parking at, or around Gatwick for 4 nights. No hotel/parking as we have an afternoon flight.

Cheers.

Last month I used the main South Long Stay,Tues AM to Fri PM £26.78.Book on-line with times and car details, your car is recognized on arrival and exit. The buses are frequent, every thing went like clock work.

We always use Maple Manor parking. They're about 5-10 quid more expensive than the airport ng, but will colect the car from the front of the airport, and drop it off again when you come home. Never had any issues with them at all. I book them via quidco through the holiday extras website to get cashback as well!

This. Have used them several times, it's especially good when you've got extra bags (dive kit, snowboards, etc) and saves faffing about with buses.

Gatwick is one airport where I'd use the official parking. Book online and it's cheaper, usually a good deal. Considerably cheaper than Heathrow equivalent.

This ^^

I know every time a questio n like this is asked someone will post up a recommendation for some valet parking outfit where you hand them your keys etc etc.

Personally I think the PH swear filter should be modified so as to automatically delete out all these suggestions. And yes I'm not just saying that for comedy, it's sort of half serious, if impossible to implement.

No, it still allows it.... never had a problem using them, collect the car from you at the departures drop off, etc, etc:

www.meteormeetandgreet.com
Code: HALF12 gets 15% discount during October too.

Or just pre-book and put the car in the Short Stay of course smile

Depends whether you're so precious about your car that you can't possibly entertain the thought of someone else driving it a few miles down the road, then back to you once you've arrived.

Last time I parked in short stay at Heathrow for a few days for work, I got back to find a nice long dent/scrape down the nearside passenger doors of my few-months-old car, presumably from some careless twerp in a 4x4.

No, it's more like having seen how some of these idiots drive and park, and fit cars so close in their store that they have to coat the sides with lard, and continually start them up to shuffle them around then I don't think that is being at all precious.
