You've bought one new already and need another? Sounds like scary development costs you've got there. yikes

Try ChrisW. on here, he owns a 2002 GT3R.

The costs have been immense but i got the crank at the start of 2008, i think it was 1700+ vat back then. where a std 993turbo crank is 3150+vat? it let go last week because the dry sump tank was made wrong. it was supposed to be a exact copy of the 1 in the 911 that i took the engine out of. in practice /qual the return kept blowin oil straight into the breather tank. then it had a 25mm feed pipe welded onto the tank that only had a 12mm hole drilled in the tank! it couldnt give the motor the oil it wanted. shouldnt of rushed and tested the car and i wish id of used the old tank! ill try the guy you suggested, thanks marcus. it was great to watch your battle with ben and the mcaleer/pete morris battle. still rather of been on track though. regards mark

thanks for the info! ill be on to porsche in the morning, as i said my old man would remember but hes away. i just about remember what i did yesterday. im gutted i did 2 3 quarter laps on the test day(out the pits, back in end of the lap twice) to check if it was blowing the oil out, which it was! then the same again in qual to see if it was blowing the oil out. after doing this 3 times and it was ok i got 2 laps in before the session was over. then 2 or 3 in the race. a lot of money for 4 or 5 laps at speed. id just put a new set of tyres on for the race at 1500 bucks. i cant moan though its the 1st non finish ive had since this meeting in 2009 when i broke a driveshaft off the line in the old gt2. cant believe how stupid a company that do this day in day out are, so many mistakes on 1 tank! the only thing more stupid is me flat out on the hangar straight in 6th thinkin 2 bar oil pressure at 7k will be ok.its usually 70/80psi it must be a faulty sender or this stack dash reads different to my old 1. oh no bang, wat a dummy

thanks mark
