MOT Expiry

On trying to tax my car this weekend it appears I have missplaced my MOT certificate.

Short of speaking to the garage that done it is there anyway of checking when it is due?

I know it used to be early Dec but I think I got it done a few weeks early last year and would like to know the exact date its due.

Great exactly what I was looking for.

If the date of the test last year was 26/11/11 I would of thought the expiry would be 26/11/12 but is showing 04/12/12 - Is this normal.

It's been done early, you can get an MOT upto 30 days before the expiry date without losing any days.

Yes you can get it done early and it adds a year onto your previous one.

You can go to any Mot test station and get a duplicate certificate. You just need to take your V5 with you.

Failing that do it online and risk a failure to display ticket

I done it online as soon as i couldnt find the MOT so will only be displaying the old disk for anfew days but I have the confirmation print out in the car just incase.

Not bothered about having the actual certificate aslong as I know when the renewal date is.
