3R suspension upgrade

Hi I'm looking to purchase new coilovers for my 3R but getting a little confused, the current ones are fairly tired and not sure what to go for. Ive come from lotus ownership where most went Nitrons but these Protechs look to be the common choice on here. Im guessing the current Bilstiens are original fit and feel really soft to what Im used to so would like something a little firmer. I only aim to do 10% track work and the rest fast road but feel the current setup is way too soft.
SWLC were really helpful and can get be ohlins from the M400 new but want 1800 notes is this really expensive?
Ideally Id like something I can almost fit and forget and Im not going to mess up by playing with the damper settings, how easy is it to set up these protech units? Is there a shop that sells these, I see they were developed by Tuxman, does he sell also?

Tuxman will be along soon. Get a set of those and get the car corner weighted and setup at Jetstream. Bob's your sisters brother

you might be able to get them reconditioned to m400 spec

I arrived at the same problem a while back with my 3R dampers. In the end it would have cost me around £500 to get them reconditioned if I remember correctly. Seemed a better idea to spend more £950 ish to get a set of Protechs that had bump and rebound adjustment.

I've had a challenging time with mine which in the end turned out to be corner weighting that was all wrong.

As has been said get corner weighting done and you'll have a good adjustable set for road and track.

Tux was straight on the email, Ive spoken with him on the phone and am convinced.

I'm way up north of Aberdeen so with the distance I always prefer to do my own work so will be installing myself. I have my own corner weight scales so that should be straight forward and Ill set up the tracking using the normal string method.

Ive a few questions regarding the geo so maybe best start that in a new topic.

There have only been a couple of noble specific Scotland meets this year but if you head to Inverurie for the Fennel V8 breakfast on Sundays you'll see a few there now and again. There must be a dozen in and around Aberdeen now.

Hi, My cars got coil overs and the guy I bought it from had another set which I didn't take. I've told him your looking to upgrade so hopefully he'll be in touch. He's based in Motherwell area.
