Grrr -BiB - it wasn't ME officer!

Just left my house Eastbound on the A40, looked in the rvm to see BiB panda car come round the bend. Drove like on my driving test to next village & into 30mph limit & he put the blue light on & pulls me over.
"I expect you're wondering why I've pulled you over...".
"yes"
"When you came through Weston-under-Penyard you dropped two cogs & you've got a rather loud exhaust."
"Eh? I just pulled out of my driveway - I haven't been through Weston?"
Just as I'm explaining that as I was waiting to pull out one of those suped up Janpanese 'Soarer' things roared past overtaking another car on a blind bend he says "hang-on" & fiddles with his radio.... "I've got to go, don't worry about it..."
Not a sign of "Sorry to inconvenience you sir"
Now I'm all for the BiB being scrupulous, but if they get it wrong they should at least apologise. I'd have laughed if he'd sound tested my car though - it has the original horrid mild-steel & the CRP isn't currently fitted.

I had one last week, ranting that it was illegal for me to reverse out onto my road, which I'm sure had nothing to do with his embarrassment from turning into the road on the wrong side whilst looking down at his radio.
I wasn't annoyed by him nearly taking the back end off my liz. The annoying part was that I just had to shut up and listen to his condescending drivel.
