Can I tell from vin/ chassis number,what number my car was in production.

Yes. The S series bible explains how to interpret the VIN.

If you want to pay all that money for 2 pairs of indicator lenses, then you can have my bible for £60! I'll just order another from the club at £29.95

If you don't want to pay £29.95 to the car club for a new one then you are probably looking at the first edition, sold mine for £10 a few weeks ago.

Yes and No..

it will tell you the Number car (well Chassis produced actually and that doesn't = car off the line) that TVR made that year.. for example my old S was the 333rd car that TVR produced in 1987, however it will not tell you by Model. (i.e. you won't find out you were the 10th S Series in 1987)
