NEC Classis Motorshow -Friday price

Does anyone know why the show is much more expensive to attend on the Friday? Is there more on or something? It's £25 on verses about £18 on the Saturday and Sunday. Was going to take my Dad, but Fridays the only day I can do. That makes it a dear day out by the time you factor in parking, fuel etc.
Friday in my opinion is the best day to go and IMO attracts the enthusiasts whereas Saturday and Sunday is more general public and is crowded whereas Friday isn't so you can get round much more easily and see all there is to see more easily
if the show interests you it will take at least the whole day to take it all in
don't forget to call by the Sporting Bears Dream Rides to see, hear and even smell the car actually running and perhaps take the oppitunity to go for a 10-mile passenger ride (outside the NEC complex ride on HM highways) in the car of your choice, see - http://www.sportingbears.org.uk/DreamRides/sbmc_ev...
as for the price even on the Friday, it's not expensive compared to other shows

I've been a few times before, last year was the first in a while and I was impressed with the amount and diversity of stuff there. Will probably still go but I think it's border line too expensive, especially when a fair proportion of stuff will be same year on year.
Incidentally, I had a quick look at train prices, thinking it might save a few quid and take the stress out. Cheapest I could find was £80 return each! Not the show's fault but a crazy price.

B*m! Just checked the flier that I have here, the club offer is only good on Saturday & Sunday this year.
Still - those of us who organise and display on the club stands get in for free and get to mooch around on the Thursday before the hoi polloi arrive

well I could only give you the benefit that I knew of, there might be others that I don't knowthe price as I said is competative compared to other shows, the NEC is in business to hire out the Halls the show organiser to make a profit from the show, many years ago the Max Power show was IIRC something like £21 to get in, £8(?) a program, £8 parking when the classic Car Show as it was then was about IIRC about £8-12 to get in and £5 to park, the Max Power visitors were happy with the prices quite happy to spend their (or their parents) money compared with the MOBs going to the CCS, which show do you think the NEC and event organisers prefer to host

And I don't disagree with any of that. Friday is Trade Day I think, not sure what the significance really is about that apart form being more expensive, and being a dull day to be working on a club stand because there's a lot of sitting around and not much chatting to the punters.
Getting the train from Hampden in Arden is apparently a good deal, something like £2 to park and £2 for the train, cheaper than parking at the NEC and gets you away from the car park queues on the way out, haven't done it myself but a friend did it last year.

hey, I'm a MOB myselfI'm sure the event organisers have their reasons, it may be that there is/has been only a certain level of attendance that they can attract on a Friday anyway so they've set the price to capture as many of those as possible - within a band there is a maximum number of visitors you can attract regardless of price even if that price is zero
there are also popular packages for visitors from overseas, I don't know what they include but that might also have a bearing on the matter
if you search out PH threads about attendance from previuos years I think you'll find I'm not alone in my view that's it's worth the extra money to go on Friday
after about 10 o'clock at the weekend if you look at the photos you should see the crowds are heavy
if you were able to compare a visit on the Friday to a visit on a Saturday or Sunday I think you'd agree the extra £7 was well spent to give you more value to the day and your overall experience of the show
I've just checked we're in Hall 12 I'd strongly recommend a visit, if only for a look-see, for some of our regulars it's the very first place to go
