Sorry.. but.. what car to replace BMW 330CI?

My 330ci was written off by the insurers today.. I loved it, probably the best all round car I've owned at that price in terms of room, comfort, performance and looks.

So before I commit to another (there's some lovely examples out there at the minute), is there anything else around the same price range (£3000-6000) to consider?

Open to anything as long as it's RWD and manual.

In short, no. I too believe that this vehicle is one of the best value for money cars in this price bracket. Nothing else quiet comes close in my own opinion.

If you're brave, you could buy an RX-8 for about £4.50.

over budget.. but a 130i with 50/60k appear to start at around 7k.

I also have a 330ci Sport and I worry to death about the day I "need" something more economical. I genuinely don't think much else matches up in this price bracket, I had a TT 225 I enjoyed owning that too.

I wasn't expecting any great discoveries to be honest, it is a great car for the money. Cheers for confirming anyway. Of to the classifieds I go then!

I'd sooner through throw the money on Black than risk it on a rotary!

Perhaps; Z4, TT, Golf GTI, CLK 320, 350Z, Leon Cupra R.

Out of those, I would choose the Z4

B6 Audi S4? A very satisfying car and it even trumps the 330 on the engine noise front.

Maybe an Audi could come close but with that comes the harsh ride quality (RWD manual £3-6K Audis over 230BHP to replace a 330CI)

Didn't even know about them, seem very good but all the secondhand ones are S Line.

That's an awful lot of car for the money. These A4 cabs make fantastic value now, and are a nicer choice than a 3 series in some ways.
