If its the red one at sandwich, worth noting it is a cat b so cannot be rebuilt and put back on the road. Parts only for it now.

I have another shell etc. Trust me, I know what I'm getting in to.

Yes, was on RR.

Not actually illegal to put a CAT B back on the road believe it or not...

Vehicle can be returned to road after a VIC check. It is up to salvage companies to ''endeavour to stop cat B cars returning to the road''.

Anyway, I hope to collect the car tomorrow. smile

I don't plan to ever re-sell anyway so future ''values'' aren't the real issue for me. This is my car and that's why I want to rebuild it.

Did you not get chance to buy the salvage off the insurance company? I've done it a few times in the past and paid pennies, relatively.

No. Cat B and above can only be sold to licensed breakers/recyclers to stop Joe Public getting their hands on them. I could register with Copart but only buy Cat C & D cars. Luckily someone helped me out. whistle
