Angry over lights??

Not sure if this deserves its own thread and should be posted in the knob post but i'm still pretty mad about this!
I was driving back from work earlier in lightish rain on a wide A road, light conditions were poor so I had my dipped headlights on. They're OEM Xenon lights that obviously comply with all regs, the auto leveling and alignment is exactly as it should be and the bulbs are OEM 4000k.
Speed limit was 50mph, and a clapped out Y reg Citroen Xsara was infront of me doing between 20-30mph (he'd go up to 30 then brake back down every so often) - once we'd reached the long straight pictured I overtook him quite safely and carried on. Before my overtake I kept a safe distance given the conditions and wasn't trying to intimidate him into driving quicker.
He's obviously enraged by this and flashes his lights until I get to the next roundabout, i'm not too familiar with the area and I forget to take a right - I get to this one, indicating right and taking the right hand land to circle back on myself.
Have to wait for several cars and as i'm pulling off he comes flying along my left hand side andtakes such a line (to go straight on) that I have to break very very hard and luckily avoid him and come to a stop against the roundabout.
He gets out of his car (leaving it in the middle of the roundabout, effectively blocking me) and goes absolutely mental about how he hates people with bright, dazzling lights that are illegal - I cut him up because only one car is allowed to use the roundabout at one time. I tell him that he's very lucky that there wasn't an accident, if it was it would have entirely have been his fault and if I find any damage to my car i'll be claiming off his insurance for it.
I'm out of my car by this point and after more arguing about who was in the right/wrong I tell him that he shouldn't be on the road, he makes a charge towards me as if to hit me, his wife is screaming hysterically for him to get back in the car and to just leave it. I call his bluff and don't back away, I tell him i'm going to call the police if he doesn't get out of my way right now and he scarpers back into his car and speeds off. Basically the only sense I could get out of him was he did this because he was angry about being 'dazzled' by my lights - and that he was stopping me from overtaking him on the roundabout?? (I was indicating right and was going around it in the correct lane?)
I had my mate who's a mechanic give my car the once over, and there's no damage from the impact with the roundabout but was wondering if anyone thought it's worth pursuing with the police? My overtake was planned, safe and undertaken without speeding and if the police had witnessed what he did I imagine it'd be dangerous driving and threatening behaviour??
Also attached photos of my lights so people can see they're not a dazzling chav HID conversion!

ts in all walks of life. He's just jealous you have a nice car and he's driving something french!The lights on my Focus RS are horribly dazzling when I've been convoying with it and someone else driving it. And when set on auto come on and off randomly for extra irritation of other drivers.
No reason to act like an arse on his part though. If he had a Xsara it's probably jealousy.

They are quite bright and I do avoid using them as much as I can during daytime so I don't piss anyone off, in this case the light was very poor and the sidelights on the golf are absolutely pathetic..No reason to act like an arse on his part though. If he had a Xsara it's probably jealousy.
He looked and dressed alot like Onslo off of keeping up appearances!
My sidelights are like tiny candles. Pretty sure they are so you can 'be seem' rather than be used 'to see'. Modern cars fail here as they are often way too bright!
Granted you didn't deserve the rap you got from the angry bloke, although it was probably made worse that you overtook him, rightly or wrongly!
I'm thinking about getting my rear window tinted before the winter really sets in, as modern headlights are irritating as fook!

I'm not a fan of HID's either.
If there are a set coming towards they do seem 'to flash' on every bump in the road.
Does your car give to the option to change the angle of the beam? I have got a mind blank on what the proper name for it is.
When I had an X-Trail you could alter the angle of the beam say if you had a caravan on the back.
