I've been following the development of this new car, based as you can see on the style of the E-type and bearing Sir William's name. The price isn't mentioned, but I believe it to be stratospheric. still, I like it just the same.

interesting. i think it looks good.
dont think its the same one, but another company did a similar thing. i think it had XKR underpinnings, engine and running gear, with a custom "E-type-a-like" shell.
was also that other company that top gear featured, where they took an actual e-type and reworked and replaced all the weak points, ie modern brakes, suspension and better cooling system.

I think you are talking about the same company, which was proposing to call the company "Growler". The other company who rebuiulds E-types is Henry Pearman's Eagle Classics in Sussex.
